Irem Topal has a BSc and MSc in Physics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. She recently completed a PhD in Computational Applied Science and Engineering at the Kadir Has University. Currently, she works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Padova. Irem is interested in understanding complex systems by combining theoretical and computational methods from statistical physics, dynamical systems, and machine learning. In particular, her research currently focuses on data-driven network neuroscience. In addition to this main line of research, she has a broad interest in social dynamics.
